We’d like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in our public engagement on permanent paid sick leave for Yukoners. We’ve gathered the insightful information that you shared with us and have posted a summary What We Heard report here on the Let’s Talk Yukon site.

What's next:

The results of the engagement, along with the information gathered in the jurisdictional scan on paid sick leave will be used to form the Making Work Safe panel’s recommendations to the Yukon Legislative Assembly. These recommendations will be submitted to the Legislative Assembly by January 31, 2022.




This engagement closed for public consultation on December 10, 2021.


The Making Work Safe Panel would like to thank everyone who took the time to participate and provide feedback.

In the coming weeks, the panel will be reviewing the feedback from the surveys, polls, comments, and ideas. Once completed, a summary outlining "what we heard" will be shared with the public on the Let's Talk Yukon "Permanent Paid Sick Leave" project site.
